Did Don Bradman break his leg or not?

Wednesday, July 12, 2006 “There is no way that Bradman broke his leg,” said a spokesman for the Bradman Museum in Bowral, New South Wales. So I mentioned that a lady in Rockhampton had given me a tip off that Bradman was carted off to hospital back in 1930, when she was a young lady, and one of the sports groupies. “OK OK, we will phone Bradman at his home in Adelaide and clear this up.” They only ever phoned The Don if it was serious. Some of us have fond memories the dunny man hurrying down the road with a leaky “nightsoil” can resting on his shoulder.
